A free badge for licensed plumbers on our directory. It tells customers one thing we actually check: your state contractor license is active and matches your business. It links back to your profile so anyone can see the license number and the date we checked it.

What the badge means

The badge means we found your business in the state licensing database with an Active contractor license, and the licensed name matches the business on your listing. It follows the same process described on our how we verify page.

It does mean

  • An active state contractor license, checked against official records
  • The license name matches your business
  • Your profile shows the license number and check date

It does not mean

  • A ranking or “best plumber” award
  • Insurance coverage (we do not verify insurance)
  • A review of workmanship or prices

How to get the badge

  1. Already verified? Open your profile on Plumbing Guide USA, find the license panel, and copy the badge code there. Paste it into your website, usually in the footer or on your About page.
  2. Not listed or not verified yet? Fill out the form below (or add your business first). We check your license against state records and email you the code.
  3. Either way, the badge links to your profile on our site, where customers can confirm the license themselves.

The rules

  • The badge is free. Featured placement is a separate paid option and is always labeled.
  • Only businesses with a verified license on Plumbing Guide USA may display it, and it must link to your profile.
  • Don't change the badge or use it to suggest we rank, insure, or endorse your work.
  • We re-check licenses regularly. If a license lapses, is suspended, or no longer matches your business, the verified status comes off your profile and we'll ask you to remove the badge.

What the badge code looks like

The code on your profile already has your own profile link filled in. For a larger badge, change “-160” to “-320” and set the width and height to 200.
